Game Pass Online Festival
The Concept
The Game Pass Online Festival came together in record time. The lockdowns at the end of March 2020 highlighted the need to switch from in-person events to virtual ones.
Entertaining Content, Well-Defined Target Audience
The first live broadcast of this online festival, designed specifically for video gamers, launched on May 4, 2020. The festival, which runs for several weeks, has since been held multiple times with the support of sponsors such as Xbox, Microsoft Windows, Samsung, and Omen by HP. The show featured not only renowned video game streamers and journalists, but also influencers, Olympic athletes, nationally known actors and musicians, comedians, and exclusive international guests.
Effective Sponsorship Communication
The goal of the festival was to reach as many gamers as possible with entertaining content, thereby bringing a little joy to these days spent in isolation. In addition, sponsors had the opportunity to showcase their services and products.
High Reach Numbers
In addition to the live streams, daily recap videos and GameStar feature articles were also produced. Alongside the social media channels of Xbox Hungary and GameStar magazine, the invited guests also actively discussed the festival on their own channels. The combined reach of several million people achieved in this way was the clearest indication of the project’s success.
